New kitchens, new addresses: eight Edmonton food spots to know this fall

A Korean diner on 34 Avenue, Filipino food on Parsons Road, and barbecue at the Granite Curling Club: a practical starting point for your next food outing.

Edmonton’s food news this fall includes new restaurants, a familiar restaurant changing its name, and a food truck settling into a winter kitchen. Those are different kinds of openings, so we’ve spelled out what is changing at each stop.

We haven’t eaten at these places. This is a guide assembled from businesses’ published information and local reporting, not a set of restaurant reviews. Details were checked on October 24, 2026. Check the linked business pages for current hours, menus and reservation arrangements before heading out.

Eight places to know

1. Jumo Korean Diner – 9219A 34 Avenue NW

Jumo is a new Korean diner on the south side. Daily Hive’s October 13 report dates its opening to October 12 and describes a menu spanning soups, stews and barbecue. Jumo’s business profile confirms the 34 Avenue address.

2. Elio’s – 335 Parsons Road SW

Elio’s brings Filipino food to Parsons Road. Taproot’s October 13 roundup reported an October 12 soft opening. The restaurant’s live profile lists Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., as of our October 24 check.

3. Rival Burger – 9624 76 Avenue NW

Daily Hive reported Rival Burger’s move from a food trailer to a storefront on October 1. The Ritchie Community League’s business directory lists the restaurant at 9624 76 Avenue NW and gives 780-235-6632 as its contact number. The business’s Instagram bio still shows its Queen Mary’s Market address, so use the Ritchie listing when planning this stop.

4. Kabab & Rotisserie by ID – 10455 82 Avenue NW

This Whyte Avenue restaurant describes its food as Turkish and Mediterranean. Its live business profile confirms the address and lists 780-816-4343 for orders and reservations.

5. Nom – 3803 Calgary Trail NW

This is a new chapter for Nomiya. Nom’s website identifies the change and links to table reservations. Its live business profile confirms the Calgary Trail location, describes the restaurant as being in its soft-opening phase and asks customers to reserve through the website.

6. Streetside Smokehouse – Granite Curling Club, 8620 107 Street NW

The food-truck business is serving from a winter base at the Granite. Streetside’s page confirms the arrangement and address, and the curling club names it as its in-house caterer. Two Streetside pages currently give different service hours, so call 780-220-4656 before going specifically for a meal.

7. Surf & Turf, Seafood & Meats – Ritchie Plaza, 9624 76 Avenue NW

This is a grocery stop for meat and seafood to cook at home. The shop’s website lists its Ritchie Plaza store as location two, alongside its Queen Mary’s Market location. Its 76 Avenue address matches the community league’s listing for Rival Burger, giving you two food stops to consider on the same outing.

8. Global Ramen – 3318 Gateway Boulevard NW

Global Ramen’s focus is Nagoya-style Taiwan mazemen: noodles mixed with sauce and toppings, without broth. Its official website confirms that it is open at the Gateway Boulevard address and introduces the style for diners trying it for the first time.

Other arrivals and expansions

For dessert, coffee or a different meal plan, these four addresses are also worth knowing about:

  • Lokma, 3629 Gateway Boulevard NW: the Edmonton ordering page lists the address and menu.
  • Gwalia Sweets & Restaurant, 9111 39 Avenue NW: its Edmonton ordering page provides the local menu and address.
  • Deville Coffee, Southgate Centre: the company’s location page lists the cafe at Unit 37A, 5015 111 Street.
  • Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, River Cree Resort & Casino: the resort’s page confirms it is open on Enoch Cree Nation, at 300 East Lapotac Boulevard. This one is outside Edmonton proper; plan the trip accordingly.

Make the next visit count

Pick a place that fits your budget and the kind of meal you want. After you’ve tried it, share a specific, honest account of what you ordered and how the visit went. A useful recommendation tells the next person more than a star rating does.
