THERE LOCAL / EDMONTON EDITION
A little more local.
A lot less noise.
You don’t need another hundred things to scroll past. You need a few good reasons to get out.

One city.
One useful place to start.
THERE Local’s Edmonton edition is a local guide in the making. We’re starting with one Thursday weekend planner: a shortlist of events, practical details and sources you can check.
Our ambition is a publication that feels like the city it covers. The first step is smaller and more useful: make planning this weekend easier.
Curated with tools.
Checked by a person.
AI tools assist with research and drafting. A human editor checks the facts and approves each edition. We don’t claim we visited a venue, interviewed an owner or took a photograph when we didn’t.
Launch coverage will draw from organizer and venue sources. Any future firsthand contributions will be identified as such. We’ll include sources and distinguish confirmed information from what still needs checking.
Advertising should
never need a detective.
Paid features will be clearly labelled. Buying a feature won’t buy a recommendation or a place in independent editorial picks. We won’t invent audience numbers or promise results we cannot substantiate.
The city is bigger
than one inbox.
Know about an opening, a small event or something happening in your neighbourhood? Our tips and corrections channel is being prepared.
When it opens, send the essentials: what’s happening, where, when and the organizer’s link. For original photos, include who took them and permission to use them. A tip is a starting point for verification, not a promise of coverage.
First edition in preparation.
We’re building the useful version first. Newsletter signup and the submission channel will open after testing.
