Edmonton before and after Halloween: what’s on Oct. 24-Nov. 8, 2026

A free evening downtown, the last days of the corn maze, Halloween nights and three reasons to keep going out in November.

By THERE Edmonton · October 24, 2026 · Sourced guide

Four outings in this guide finish on Sunday, Oct. 25. Others carry on through Halloween, and November brings a new Citadel production and free general admission to Farmfair. If you are planning around a budget, children or a late ride home, the details matter as much as the event names.

We checked the linked organizer, venue and local public-agency listings on Oct. 24, 2026, with a final booking-page check at 2:48 p.m. MDT. This is a planning guide, not a review based on attendance. All event times are Edmonton local time (America/Edmonton). Follow the official links for available dates, tickets and any last-minute changes; a listed run does not mean an event operates every day. Where we have not confirmed a current ticket total, we link the booking page rather than quote a price.

Finishing Sunday, Oct. 25

Galactic Atmosphere – Churchill Square

The space-themed light installation is free, with illuminated planets to explore downtown. Edmonton Downtown lists evening hours of 6-11 p.m. through Oct. 25. It is an option for an outing without an admission charge; dress for time outside. Event details.

Our Little Secret – Citadel Theatre

Noam Tomaschoff performs his musical about discovering a much larger family than he knew existed. The Citadel presents it as his true story, with music by Ryan Peters. Remaining listed performances are Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 25 at 1:30 p.m., in the Maclab Theatre, 9828 101A Ave. NW. The theatre recommends ages 12 and up. Edmonton Corn Maze – Parkland County

The maze lists Oct. 24 and 25 as its final two days, with Saturday hours of 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday hours of 1-5 p.m. Weekend admission is listed at $16 general or $14 for ages 4-11 online, with gate prices $1 higher; children three and under enter free. Use the organizer’s location and directions for 51529 Range Rd. 262, west of Edmonton. Check for weather closures before driving out, and follow its request to stay on public roads rather than using shortcuts through Enoch Cree Nation. Warwa Woods – Camp Warwa, near Darwell

The camp’s haunted-forest fundraiser runs 7-10 p.m. through Oct. 25. This year’s fictional story, The Lady of the Lake, unfolds across two trails. Individual admission is listed at $22; check the checkout total and available slots before making the trip. The organizer recommends the experience for ages 12 and up and publishes content warnings, including strobe lighting and loud noises. Event details and booking link.

The Citadel recommends ages 14 and up and provides content advisories. Within this guide’s window, the ticket calendar lists 7:30 p.m. performances and 1:30 p.m. matinées on Nov. 7 and 8. Iron Matron – Northern Light Theatre

Trevor Schmidt’s new play gives a woman in her 60s an unexpected restart: she reconnects with an old friend and forms a heavy-metal band. Northern Light Theatre lists the run through Nov. 7 at the Studio Theatre inside Fringe Theatre Arts Barns, 10330 84 Ave. NW. Listed performances start at 7:30 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinées on Oct. 25, Nov. 1 and Nov. 7. The booking page displays $37 and also lists pay-what-you-can performances on Oct. 24 and Nov. 1. Farmfair International – Edmonton EXPO Centre

Farmfair runs Nov. 5-8 at 7515 118 Ave. NW, with cattle shows, agricultural displays and activities for families. General admission is free and does not require a ticket. Some special events cost extra, and on-site parking is paid. Check the program for the activities you want to see, rather than assuming they run all day. Visitor FAQs · Event program.

A daytime option: the markets

  • Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market, 10310 83 Ave. NW: Saturdays 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Market information.
  • Bountiful Farmers’ Market, 3696 97 St. NW: Fridays 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m.-4 p.m., year-round. Market information.

Start with the outing that fits your time and budget. A free walk through Churchill Square, an afternoon at a market and a ticketed performance are different ways to spend time in the city; none requires filling the whole calendar.
